Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Solutions Architect role for a temporary, onsite assignment in Plano, TX.

This position is a 12-month assignment, with potential to extend. The pay range for this role is between $82.59 - $103.70/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

What we’re looking for

Enterprise Domain Architecture team, focusing on delivering robust, secure, scalable, and maintainable to support business needs and competitive advantage in the marketplace, is looking for a seasoned solution architect. In this role, you will be responsible for designing solutions spanning applications, APIs, containerized services, and leveraging AWS services, with a key focus on driving reusable software components, and compliant with all standard, patterns and NFR framework. You will collaborate closely with product stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to transform high-level architectural requirements into actionable, technical solutions.

What you’ll be doing
Architect and Design: 

Develop and implement cloud-native architectures that are scalable, secure, and reliable use of container technologies and orchestrate services on AWS infrastructure. Drive the use of container technologies and orchestrate services on AWS infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. 

Technical Leadership: 

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring all organizational architecture standards, patterns frameworks, and industry best practices in architecture and design are followed.

Collaboration:

Partner with enterprise domain architects, product owners, and domain experts to turn high-level business needs into detailed, actionable technical specifications and implementation plans. 

Innovation: 

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously exploring new tools and methodologies to improve our solutions.

Documentation:

Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation that supports the development process, including architecture decision records, design specs, system architecture diagrams, and reusable patterns. 

Solution Level Architecture Support:

Maintain an end-to-end domain level architecture landscape views - logical, security, and deployment diagrams - current state and target state landscape views.

Develop and maintain OKR / Project level solution architecture and design - logical, security, and deployment arch views diagrams, low level solution design, ensuring compliance with NFR and other solution patterns.

Solution Governance:

Presenting and obtaining approval on solution design form governance bodies.

Requirements:

Experience: 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on cloud-native technologies and modern technology stacks.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proven experience designing & architecting enterprise scale transactional systems following microservice, event driven architecture style. 
  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of InfoSec and DevSecOps principles using AWS technologies. (preferred) Should be able to understand basic concepts infosec
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS (Amazon Web Services), including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDBand other cloud-native technologies. 
  • Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, Harness, Artifactory, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including VPC, VPN, and load balancing.

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves)

Experience working with monitoring and logging tools such as DynaTrace, AWS CloudWatch, and Prometheus.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Security Knowledge: Must Haves 

In-depth understanding of security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and secure coding practices. Demonstrated ability to translate them into secure solution design.

Problem-Solving Skills: 

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of designing and implementing complex technical solutions.

Independent Worker and Team Player:

Ability to work independently to drive complex technical projects to completion, as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

Communication: 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

 

Added bonus if you have (Preferred)
Ability to code:
Hands-on coding with one or more languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, or C# (Java preferred). Expertise in developing and deploying applications using microservices architecture, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Track record of including automated testing throughout the life cycle. 

Experience implementing reusable software components, and shared libraries for enterprise-wide use.

Independently troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure high availability and performance. Investigate and resolve complex software issues, providing support to the operations team. 

Certification:

Relevant certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Kubernetes, etc. are highly desirable. 

Experience working with Enterprise Architecture:

Experience working with enterprise architecture function in domain aligned environment, working with domain leadership, and presenting in architecture governance forums.
