Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Performance Engineering & QE Tools Leader role for a temporary assignment in Plano, TX.

 

This position is a 11-month assignment, with potential to extend. The pay range for this role is between $80.00 - $100.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Extensive experience in performance engineering and testing.

Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, Maven).

Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Knowledge of AI/ML testing frameworks and tools.

Understanding of security testing practices and tools.

Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog).

 

What you’ll be doing
The Performance Engineering Lead is responsible for transforming performance testing into performance engineering with a Shift Left focus. This role involves building robust performance frameworks and implementing best practices to ensure software meets high standards of speed, scalability, and reliability.

 

He/she will be responsible for the following:

Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive performance engineering frameworks.

Shift Left Focus: Integrate performance engineering practices early in the development lifecycle to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Performance Testing: Conduct performance, scalability, stability, and stress tests using industry-standard tools.

Optimization: Analyze test results to diagnose performance issues and recommend solutions for optimization.

Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of performance engineering practices.

Monitoring: Implement and manage performance monitoring tools to detect and troubleshoot performance issues.

Reporting: Create detailed reports on system performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to performance engineering and incorporate them into practices.

 

Requirements:

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills

Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.

In-depth knowledge of quality engineering methodologies, practices, and tools, including test automation frameworks.

Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, and the ability to align quality engineering practices with these approaches.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Deep expertise in product management and software development lifecycle

A broad understanding of software and data testing techniques and best practices

Experience working in IT delivery or business management

Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
