Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Content Strategist for a temporary assignment in Plano, TX.
This is a 4 month contract position expected to go from Jan 5th through the end of May 2026. The pay range for this role is between $35.00/hr - $40.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.
Role Overview
The Content Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing content strategies that support Toyota’s business goals and meet employee needs. This role focuses on managing content within Toyota’s Intranet and Digital Headquarters (“My Toolbox”) and the AKARI Knowledge Management Platform, both built on SharePoint Online. The strategist ensures content is high-quality, relevant, and accessible, and supports site owners in maintaining content and sites that meet best practices and Toyota’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Management
- Develop content strategies aligned with business objectives and user needs.
- Conduct content audits and gap analyses across Toyota’s network of sites.
- Oversee content requirements and deliverables.
- Update and maintain training materials, quick reference guides (QRGs), and support documents.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all content.
Collaboration & Training
- Engage and collaborate with the My Toolbox/AKARI team and business content owners.
- Provide training and office hours for site owners.
- Gather requirements for site updates, enhancements, or code changes.
- Advise site owners on best practices for content management and digital work processes.
Technical Support
- Assist with technical configuration of content in SharePoint Online.
- Make recommendations for organizing, consolidating, migrating, or deleting sites.
- Track SharePoint permissions and manage external access requests.
- Ensure key content is searchable and findable using Microsoft Search.
- Track performance using Power BI and the7399 Search Console.
Quality Assurance
- Keep content up to date and ensure links work as expected.
- Archive or delete outdated information.
- Update older content to meet new standards.
- Research and apply the latest Microsoft Search and SharePoint Online features.
User Experience
- Apply user-centered design principles for intuitive site navigation.
- Make recommendations for content placement between My Toolbox and MS Teams based on the audience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, User Experience Design, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years as a content strategist in a company or agency setting.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with SharePoint (site creation, permissions, page & content design).
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Design-focused and knowledgeable in search engine optimization (SEO) principles.
- Comfortable with all aspects of project management and production.
- Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, or Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with user experience, design methodology, and web accessibility standards.
- Experience working in corporate environments with cross-functional teams.
