The TFS Banking and Commercial Lending team is seeking a highly motivated UX/UI Design Engineer to join our commercial lending team. As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly digital products and experiences, focusing on how users interact with products or services to make them easy, effective, and enjoyable.
Conduct User Research:
Understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points through techniques like interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Analyze User Feedback and Data:
Interpret research findings and analytics to inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Create User Flows, Wireframes, and Prototypes:
Translate concepts into visual blueprints and interactive models to illustrate design ideas and user journeys.
Design User Interfaces (UI):
Develop visually appealing and functional interfaces that align with brand guidelines and user needs.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with product managers, developers, UI designers, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment and successful implementation.
Conduct Usability Testing:
Test designs with real users to gather feedback, identify usability issues, and iterate on design solutions.
Advocate for the User:
Champion the needs and preferences of the end-user throughout the product development process.
User-Centered Design (UCD) Principles:
A deep understanding of designing with the user at the forefront.
Research and Analytical Skills:
Ability to conduct user research, analyze data, and translate insights into design solutions.
Wireframing and Prototyping:
Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD for creating interactive prototypes.
Visual Design Skills:
Understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
Communication and Collaboration:
Ability to effectively present design concepts and work collaboratively with others.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve usability issues and design challenges.
Empathy:
The ability to understand and share the feelings and perspectives of users.
Technical Understanding:
Knowledge of web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
Relevant Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), computer science, or a related field is often required.
Expertise in Figma:
Must be highly proficient in using Figma for creating intuitive, responsive, and scalable design systems.
Should be able to share a portfolio or samples of past Figma-based designs during the hiring process.
Design Enhancement & Collaboration:
Capable of enhancing and evolving existing designs by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills are essential to translate stakeholder feedback into design improvements.
Ability to explain design decisions in simple, layman-friendly terms to non-design stakeholders.
Client Library Familiarity:
Exposure to and experience with client-side libraries such as:
PrimeVue
Quasar
Vuetify
Should understand how these libraries influence design implementation and user experience.
CSS & Scoped Styles Expertise:
Strong understanding of CSS, including scoped stylesheets.
Ability to generate reusable design tokens for development teams.
Tailwind CSS Compatibility:
Should be able to design components and layouts that are compatible with Tailwind CSS.
Experience in creating token systems and utility-first design approaches aligned with Tailwind standards.
Experience/Understanding in UI Frameworks like Vue.js
