Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Chemical Antenna and Advocacy Consultant role for a temporary, Hybrid assignment in Ann Arbor, MI or Washington, DC.

This position is a 3-month assignment, with potential to extend. The pay range for this role is between $59.00 - $63.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Title: Chemical Antenna and Advocacy Consultant 

Location: Ann Arbor, MI or Washington, DC.

Duration: 3 months

Description:

The person in this role will support the Chemical Management Office objectives of Chemical Regulation/Legislation “antenna” function.

Key Responsibilities

• Surveil, Analyze, and summarize critical material or chemical substance related regulation and legislative activity, with particular focus on non-U.S. related themes.
• Coordinate the surveillance and broadcast of critical material or chemical substance related legislation and regulation to the business

Examples:

• Create and distribute “alerts” to key internal stakeholders.
• Input regulatory/legislative summaries into internal company software.

Using various tools, coordinate the tracking of substances being pursued by local and global regulatory or legislative bodies throughout the regulatory/legislative timeline.

• Potential future collaboration with other Toyota global affiliates
• Occasional special advocacy or compliance projects may be requested, depending on available time.

Requirements:

A successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working with consumer products industries, especially complex durable goods industries.
• Working knowledge and understanding of global material or chemical substance regulations and legislations which may impact the auto industry.
• Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, such as issuance of reports to communicate technical matters to stakeholders.
• Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Problem solver with a customer-first approach and excellent interpersonal skills
