Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Java Developer role for a temporary, assignment in Plano, TX.

This position is a 6-month assignment, with potential to extend. The pay range for this role is between $60-70/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

What we’re looking for    

We are seeking a talented and motivated Java Developer with hands-on experience in building scalable enterprise applications using the Spring Boot Framework and deploying in AWS EC2 & EKS. The ideal candidate will have experience in SDLC for services they will be responsible for which includes developing, containerizing, writing unit tests, executing tests in CI, deploying and exposing via API gateway.

What you’ll be doing       

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot Framework
• Deploy, manage and scale applications on AWS EC2 and EKS
• Implement CI/CD pipelines in  Gitlab for continuous integration and deployment
• Containerize with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging to improve the development process

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills             

• 3+ years of experience in Java development with a strong focus on the spring boot framework
• Proficiency in developing and managing applications on AWS especially using EC2 and EKS
• Experience with Gitlab/Github CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment.
• Strong understanding of Docker for containerization and orchestration
• Familiarity with cloud-native design patterns and microservice architecture.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Added bonus if you have (Preferred):          

• Recent certification in Java (ex., Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 11 Developer or equivalent).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Golang exposure will be plus.
