Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Legal Claim Assistant for a temporary assignment in Plano, Texas.

This is a 12-month contract. The pay range for this role is between $18.70- $20.50/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Description:

• We are looking for a person that continually wants to improve.

• There are situations within our group that require the claim assistant to point out if a specific claim, a certain piece of documentation or process is not making sense or being followed. 
• The claim assistant will need have a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• The claims assistant is responsible for the initial review and processing of claims and notices received from Toyota’s Brand Engagement Center, insurance companies, attorneys, or other sources.
• The claims assistant reviews the materials provided and enters all information into the legal matter management system for reporting purposes. 
• Each claim requires a detailed review for a description of the incident, defect allegations, vehicle information, customer information and whether there is an alleged death, injury or property damage. 
• The claim assistant is also responsible for keeping track of all documents received for each claim and saving the documents into a document management system. 
• Designated claim assistants are also responsible for assigning vehicle inspections and downloading inspection reports once they are completed. 
• Efficiency and accuracy are extremely important since the incidents are subject to various audits and reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (TREAD Reporting).

Qualifications:

• Basic experience with Word, Excel and common Microsoft applications. Need to have the ability to learn in house applications.
• Data entry
• Needs to have good reasoning skills to interpret data
• Needs to be well organized to handle work volume.

Added bonus:

• Some experience in insurance is preferred but not required.  We have our own claims system and document management system that will need to be learned.
• Prior experience using Salesforce would be helpful but not required.
