This is a 12 month contract position. The pay range for this role is between $30/hr - $40/Hr.

Job Description

Toyota’s Bodyweld Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Bodyweld Seibi Technician

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical/skilled support to Bodyweld Engineering team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to Inspect and confirm new or modified equipment and to prepare that equipment for manufacturing production.

•On-site robot programming and interlocking
•Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended.
•Prepare and confirm new Body weld equipment at the vendors
•Support weld machine Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation to start of production
•Develop equipment countermeasures during set up/trials
•Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, Mexico. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays

Requirements

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Degree in Industrial Maintenance related field
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Able to work up to 50% overtime including weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods
• Able to travel or dispatch up to 75% including locations across North America, Mexico or Canada
• Experience with automated robotic welding (spot/arc) and robotic material handling
• Experience in industrial maintenance, robot programming, PLC logic modification, and troubleshooting
• Industrial maintenance experience in a body weld shop
• Experience with AGVs (automated guided vehicles)
• Experience with mentoring and/or technical training.
• 3+ years of Automotive experience
